Jacksonville Surf Park: $21M Deal, 2028 Opening

The highly anticipated Jacksonville Surf Park at eTown Development is now one step closer to reality. Aventuur—a global developer—and its Northeast Florida investor group have finalized a $21.1 million purchase of 45 acres, paving the way for North Florida’s first world-class surf park by early 2028.

A Landmark Investment for the Jacksonville Surf Park

The property, located southwest of Florida 9B and I-295, was acquired from Westland Timber LLC. This strategic move aligns with Aventuur’s mission to create mixed-use surf, leisure, and wellness destinations. Construction for the Jacksonville Surf Park at eTown Development will begin in early 2026, pending approvals.

The project has already secured endorsements from The PARC Group, Jacksonville City Council, Mayor Donna Deegan, and local leaders.

What’s Coming to the Jacksonville Surf Park?

Anchored by a 5.5-acre Wavegarden Cove surfing lagoon, the Jacksonville Surf Park at eTown Development will offer:

  • A high-performance surf academy
  • A boutique hotel and wellness center
  • Retail stores, dining options, and event spaces
  • Multifamily residential units and community areas

Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, the park will feature walkable spaces and a central hub called “The Grove” to celebrate Jacksonville’s surf culture.

Community Vision for the Jacksonville Surf Park

Local partners Riley Skinner, Lockwood Holmes Jr., and Brad Davis emphasized the project’s roots in Jacksonville’s identity:

“This is a dream to bring a surf park to our hometown, supported by families, surfers, and leaders who share our vision.”

Sustainability at the Surf Park in eTown

The Jacksonville Surf Park at eTown Development prioritizes sustainability with native landscaping, preserved vegetation, and recycled materials. CEO Nicholas Edelman noted:

“Every Aventuur destination reflects the local community. Jacksonville’s character is at the heart of this project.”

What’s Next for the Surf Park at eTown Development?

Aventuur plans to expand its surf park concept nationally and globally, but all eyes remain on Jacksonville. The Surf Park at eTown Development promises to reshape the region’s recreational and real estate landscape. Stay tuned for updates as construction begins in 2026!
