A new sushi restaurant is coming to Jacksonville’s One Riverside development, a long-anticipated mixed-use district along the riverfront.
Pearl Hospitality Group — known for running the popular Norikase Japanese seafood spot near St. Johns Town Center — has signed a lease to open its latest concept, Norikawa, at this location, according to Colliers Senior Associate Olivia Steinemann, who shared the news with the Business Journal on Thursday.
Norikawa will take over a 4,149-square-foot space along the Riverwalk and include an additional 2,500-square-foot outdoor patio, Steinemann noted in a social media post.
The restaurant will serve authentic Japanese dishes, combining classic flavors with modern preparation. Guests can expect expertly made sushi, specialty cocktails with unique ingredients, and a curated selection of premium sake and Japanese whisky.
Pearl Hospitality Group is part of the Bento Group, which runs nearly 50 restaurants across Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando — including several that have earned Michelin recognition. The leasing deal was handled by Colliers brokers Olivia Steinemann, Matthew Clark, and Sam Middlekauff.
One Riverside spans 18.84 acres and includes three major developments: TriBridge Residential is building 271 apartments along with a restaurant; Fuqua Development from Atlanta is working on a retail center with Whole Foods as the anchor; and the city plans to restore McCoys Creek and build a connecting park as part of the Emerald Trail.
